Please see the attached about today's 2nd Alarm fire with rescues in the 200 block of North 17th Street.

Crews from E13 and E4 assisted Bethlehem Fire Department on 2 working fires today.

The river and many bodies of water have froze. Please avoid going onto the ice and do not trust that it will support your weight.

Firefighters will be in the 900 block of Gordon Street today or tomorrow to provide after the fire education packets and answer questions. Please pass the word to your neighbors if you live in that area.

The Paramedics and firefighters are expecting to be busy and slowed by the potential storms. Please be patient and assist us by keeping hydrants and walks clear, move vehicles if you are parked on a snow emergency route and call 610-437-7751 for non-emergent needs. Be safe!

Members assisted the Syrian Arab Americans Charities Association today distributing Thanksgiving food boxes.

To assist the Second Harvest Food Bank, we will be accepting non-perishable food donations at our stations through Wednesday, November 26th. Please contact the Public Affairs office with any questions.

Paramedic Chief’s award went AC Trekker and AC Brett while the paramedic of the year was given to Paramedic Stankovick. Congratulations to all and thank you to all the dedication.

Today we recognized many of our firefighters and paramedics who have gone above and beyond over the last year. Fischl award went to Lt. Warmkessel, Chief’s award was given to Lt. Matchette, and the Firefighter of the year went to Captain Trumbore.

Always Remember- Fire Department Honor Guard members raised a 9/11 memorial flag atop of the PPL tower to memorialize those lost today 24 years ago and all those we lost due to illness related to their efforts at Ground Zero.
