Alliance Educators from Gertz-Merkin and Burton Tech went to the table today for the first day of bargaining for better work and learning environments. The power of our movement is felt at the table. Together, we will win a fair and just contract.

We start bargaining our new contract in a month and when we go to the table, we bring the entire community with us. Yesterday, we got to connect with parents about the issues that concern them the most and how we can work together to uplift the entire Alliance community.

.@AllianceCRPS claims to care about social justice, but they try to stop our union at every possible step. Denying educators their legal rights to advocate for themselves and their students is not social justice. Alliance: Bargain with us in good faith at ALL schools.

We are focused on ensuring our students’ success, guaranteeing educators' voice, and making Alliance a place where educators can stay and build their careers. We're eager to begin bargaining with @AllianceCRPS and call on them to do so collaboratively and in good-faith.

AFT President @rweingarten is spot on. Alliance has spent millions on legal delay tactics to fight their own educators. Why is @AllianceCRPS so opposed to fair wages, smaller class sizes, and more resources for our classrooms? Enough is enough. Come to the table and bargain.

So the Court of Appeals ruled in favor of labor rights for Alliance Educators. What does that mean? ✅ PERB orders recognizing our union were upheld ✅ @AllianceCRPS has been ordered to come to the table and bargain. Again. Enough of the lawsuits Alliance. Come bargain.
