Copper rot is a fungus that, through yet unknown means, obtains energy from electricity. This species enters cables through exposed metal, then grows outwards, using fire to disperse its spores. It is not advised to touch it, as it is conductive enough to cause electrocutions.

I imagine it like this (Ignore the others) His muzzle & face also look pink due to the light reflection.
