4) And lastly, the beneficiary is a widow with five orphaned children living in Unguwan Almajirai, Gwagwalada, Abuja, who has faced immense hardship since the passing of her husband. With the full responsibility of caring for her family now on her shoulders, she struggles to make ends meet. To survive, she takes on menial jobs such as washing clothes and selling small quantities of local condiments like locust beans (daddawa), baobab (kuka), and potash (kanwa), which generate only minimal income. Alhamdulillah, with a balance of ₦130,000, we were able to support her in starting a small groundnut oil and palm oil business to improve her livelihood. This included 25 liters of groundnut oil (₦60,000), 25 liters of palm oil (₦50,000), two buckets (₦4,000), a funnel (₦1,000), nylon bags (₦1,000), a sack of salt (₦8,500), and a carton of tomato purée (₦8,000). May Allah accept it as an act of ibadah.

3) The third beneficiary is a divorced single mother of three living in Odo Eran, Obantoko, Abeokuta, Ogun State who has been solely responsible for her children, as their father has long been absent. She earns a modest income through domestic work such as laundry, house cleaning, and water fetching, but it barely meets their needs. She previously sold red oil, groundnut oil, and similar items, but an injury a few months ago forced her to spend her business capital on medical care. Hoping to regain financial stability, she sought to restart her business as an additional source of income. We also supported her by purchasing items worth ₦200,000.

1) A brother sent in his zakat of N700,000 to assist in disbursing to those in need. Alhamdulillah, we successfully distributed the funds to four families across Oyo, Osun, Ogun, and Abuja. The first beneficiary is a widow with six children living in Soro Area, Oyo State who lost her husband last year after a long battle with stroke. Before his illness, she ran a small food business selling rice, beans, and cooked meals, which supported and sustained the family. However, the cost of his treatment caused the business to collapse, and despite her efforts, he passed away. Since then, she has struggled to care for her children, moving between small trades without stable income. We supported her by reviving her food business. We purchased the food items with a total of ₦150,000, helping her to in shaa Allah provide better care for her children.

2) We also supported a young woman living in Shiyar Sarakuna, Birnin Kebbi (Kebbi State) by setting her up with a groundnut and palm oil business. She is now solely responsible for caring for her five younger siblings after the loss of both parents. Her mother passed away during this past Ramadan, and sadly, her elder brother, who would have taken on the responsibility had passed away earlier, leaving her with the full responsibility of the household. With no stable source of income, the family had been relying on the generosity of others just to eat. To help her become self-reliant, we supported her in starting a business she expressed interest in. A total of ₦131,000 was used to cover the purchase of vegetable oil worth ₦65,000, palm oil worth ₦57,000, two buckets for ₦4,800, two funnels for ₦800, nylon bags for ₦900, and transportation costing ₦1,500, bringing the total to ₦130,950. The remaining ₦50 was used as part of the transfer charges. May Allah accept this as an act of ibadah.

1) Towards the end of Ramadan, we received a zakat donation of ₦200,000 from a generous donor for disbursement. Alhamdulillah, this support was distributed to two families in Plateau and Kebbi States who benefited from it. We supported a low-income family in Majema, Jos North (Plateau State) in restarting their charcoal business. The father is currently struggling with health challenges and is unable to work and provide for the family. The mother sells local condiments on a very small scale, but the income is not sufficient to meet their needs. Their eldest son stepped up to take responsibility, starting a modest business selling chicken feed alongside charcoal. Unfortunately, during Ramadan, after completing his sales, he was attacked by thieves who stole both his goods and his capital. This loss made it extremely difficult for him to continue supporting his family. Alhamdulillah, we were able to assist by purchasing 10 bags of charcoal at ₦6,500 each, with an additional ₦4,000 spent on transportation, bringing the total support to ₦69,000.

3) The third beneficiary is a low-income family living in Yan Dussa, Anguwan Alkali, Zaria, Kaduna State, who struggle to make ends meet. They have five children, and the husband is currently not financially stable. To support the family, the wife sells small quantities of groundnut oil, palm oil, and other condiments, usually packaged in small nylon bags. This modest trade is their primary source of income, but her limited capital has made it difficult to generate sufficient profit. To help improve their livelihood, we supported her business by purchasing 25 liters each of groundnut oil and palm oil, enabling her to increase her sales and better provide for her family. The total cost of this support was ₦120,000, which covered groundnut oil at ₦59,000, palm oil at ₦48,000, two small buckets at ₦3,000 each, nylon bags and a funnel at ₦4,000, and transportation at ₦3,000. May Allah accept this as an act of ibadah.

2) The second beneficiaries are two widows living in Tudun Yarima, Bauchi State. They have been caring for a combined total of sixteen children (eleven boys and five girls) after losing their husband several years ago. Since the demise of their husband, they have struggled to provide for their large family on their own, taking on menial jobs such as washing and sweeping as house helps to survive. Life has been very difficult for them. Seeking a more sustainable source of income, they expressed interest in returning to the charcoal business, which they are already experienced in as they had done it in the past. Alhamdulillah, we supported them by purchasing 12½ bags of charcoal at ₦6,700 per bag, bringing the total cost to ₦85,000.

1) We received a zakat donation of ₦400,000 from a sister to distribute to those in need. Alhamdulillah, three families in three different locations benefited from this support. The first beneficiary is a widow with nine children (orphans) living in Rumawa, Gezawa LGA of Kano State. Her husband passed away four years ago, and since then life has been extremely challenging for the family. At times, they survive on just one meal a day, and the children have had to stop attending school. One of her daughters has been married off, while two of her children now live with relatives to help ease the burden. Currently unemployed, she struggles greatly to provide for her family. She previously worked as a tailor but was unable to continue due to the lack of a sewing machine. Alhamdulillah, ₦185,000 was used to purchase a new sewing machine for her, and ₦10,000 covered the transportation cost, bringing the total support for her to ₦195,000.
