But more interesting, what happens when intelligence and maybe even domain expertise approaches free? Will human work go away or will the bar for what a human can produce simply go up, because she has access to free intel and domain expertise? Which way will you bet?

"But AI is different. When it can do everything better than people, what jobs will be left?" First, AI has created a bunch of new jobs. Ask anyone building a datacenter. Or a power plant. The demand for GPUs is so far ahead of supply that they are melting in place.

A few weeks ago, a hedge fund manager called me in a panic. So many layoffs! He has never seen anything like it! AI is taking all the jobs! Right? He was ready to trade on it. Like, a lot.

I helped them go a little faster. Now they capture student call transcripts from Zoom, feed it into OpenAI's Operator, and it handles about half the data entry. So now they spend ~60% with students and only 40% on TPS reports. TPS reports are going away. So are web apps.

Here's one: A client of mine is a leading ed-tech shop. Years ago, they wrote a crappy little web app to manage their workflow. Over time, it got bigger and more aromatic until people would spend ~80% of their time filling out TPS reports in this app and only ~20% with students.
