Probably going to lose followers on this take but I’m siding with him on this one. He said Taylor’s name in an interview when asked about songwriting because she IS one of the most famous artists alive & because she’s one of the first artists you think of when it comes to songwriting. If you read the original interview, he doesn’t say ‘Taylor’s songs are boring’. That’s just what people are choosing to twist his words into. I fully agree with his last point- this type manufactured anger is what makes celebs give boring, safe answers that can’t be twisted.

@ExcaIiburrito I voted laning but the question sucks since it depends on context very heavily. As a very loose general rule sure the laning champ should initiate the play, but there are far too many scenarios the ganking champ should I wouldn't take this poll result seriously

@hkozachkov You're right its not a scientists job to make policy decisions, but policy makers routinely take the arguments scientists make into account when making their final determinations. Your assignment was realistic.

In freshman year of undergrad--2003--I had to take an "honors seminar" because I'm a fancy-lad. I took one called Bioethics. It was fun little class, arguing back and forth about various hypotheticals--basically what you'd expect. I was well-read on the topic we covered (for a freshman), was opinionated, and was very engaged in class. The prof, a biologist, did a pretty good job staying neutral, but I think she liked that reliably argued the "science is good, actually" side of things, and did it pretty well. We got along, building up a great rapport over the semester. The final was two essay. I don't remember the topic of one, and I got a perfect score on pretty much as expected. The assignment for the second letter was something similar to this: "Pretend you are a scientist studying one of the controversial topics we covered this semester. Write a letter to the president, advising him about the topic, its policy implications, and your recommendations about what to do next. Be informative and persuasive: lay out the case for why the president should take the course of action you suggest." Yeah, no. What I did instead was write an essay about how I rejected the premise embedded in this assignment, how it wasn't the place of scientists to make policy recommendations because policy decisions are not scientific questions, and how the president (or whoever) should throw letters of this form into the circular file upon receipt. I made my case with the same level of skill that I applied to all the other assignments I had done for that class. She gave me a 0. So my grade on the final was a 50%. And she wouldn't budge a millimeter. So anyway, the point of this story is that ethicists love spirited debate. Right until the moment you reject the premise that their opinions are particularly valuable for deciding how everyone else should live.

Like honestly if that player is bad enough to go 1-14, statistically there has to be a weak link on the enemy team. The game is just as much mental too. People get bored and out of boredom they make mistakes, overextend, limit test, but if you turn your brain off to just want to ff you don’t see the possibilities to take advantage of those miss plays. The only thing on your mind is getting out of the game.

Because a lost game isn’t lost till it’s over. That 1-14 player is still trying, but when you turn your brain off and dedicate the rest of the game to ffing you become the real inter. Self fulfilling prophecy.

@GonzoFGC Not sure I get the whole calling ppl tourists. Riot WANTS tourists to play the game in hopes they'll stick with it for a few seasons. Problem is they made a game that requires learning 2 characters so those tourists leave right away

2XKO's lack of marketing & identity (incl. its awful name), felt like big missteps. how many outside of the fgc knew it released or even existed. if what happened with multivs and the implications thereof is any indication, this might signal to all AAA devs that FGs are a risk.
