This is probably the most detailed animation I have ever created! 🔥 This artwork is called The Bridge - for Anomaly - a game which me and my friend @omuhi_ were making together a while ago! I will put the full version with better quality below the comment section #pixelart

@Alphons63 @moonfell_rpg To be real I definitely struggle with speed and output. I'm wondering if there's some tools I should be leveraging in the editor instead of hand pixeling everything

@Alphons63 Not sure if a brush would suffice given they typically only carry a single color. Some kind of brush stamp with full color support could work I guess.

@moonfell_rpg The solution here is more complex brushes, not crazy hard

@Alphons63 For more complex edge work we're stuck with either tilesets or countless hours of handwork/pasting chunks. (im torturing myself with the latter, cause its visually the best imo) Some kind of system to populate a border with a library of assets would be incredibly useful

@Alphons63 Clever approach! If only there was a way to do this with more complex edge designs

This method is even faster but in my opinion it suffers with diagonals and verticals
twisted@ttwisted35

@Taikwy there's probably an extension somewhere for that if you use aseprite, but this would be my lazy way of doing it

how do people usually achieve this dither/grassy looking effect? i've been just manually pixeling it, but there's gotta be a more efficient way than that right?
