Pinnick: Infantino’s FFE Proposal Will Give Each Member Association $20 Million As FIFA President, Gianni Infantino has the right to propose changes, and it is up to stakeholders to accept or reject them. One of the major characteristics of the FIFA President is his ability to consult widely, and he is doing so with the FFE Proposal. Under this proposal, FIFA would sell minority stakes in a new for-profit commercial subsidiary, FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), to external investors. The beneficiaries of the proposal will still be the member associations — including the Nigeria FA, Ghana FA, South African FA, and all other FAs. CAF must prioritise African football, even if that means not siding with UEFA. UEFA will always do what benefits Europe, and that’s fine but CAF decisions should be made in the best interests of African clubs, players, and competitions.
