Reminder: When New Zealand lost preferential access to its traditional export market (the UK), its economy and standard of living cratered and took 20 years to recover. This despite a transition period and their massive tariff free quotas into the EU (which the UK won't get).

@Femi_Sorry when NZ slashed tariffs did its agricultural sector vanish? no - it became one of the strongest and most competitive in the world, all while consumers won cheaper food. sad to see you advocating protectionism here femi, global free trade is a win win win win.

Hi Greta, I’ve just booked some long haul flights for my family to enjoy some winter sun on the beach this Christmas. Level of guilt being felt: 0%

Corbynites have been telling: Moderate Tories Blairites Red Tories Yellow Tories Tory scum LibDums Watson Traitors etc. to fuck off for 3 years now. Clearly Corbyn is the man to lead a government of national unity. Whoever is left can rally behind him.🙄

Consider Jo Swinson and Jeremy Corbyn's differing approach to trying to stop no deal: JS: I want a unifying figure (not me!) to lead a GNU. Can't be JC because he's not unifying enough. JC: Back me, or get no deal Brexit. I will not accept a GNU. I must be PM. 🤔

Ken Clarke, the rational choice for interim cross-party PM. He was anti-ERG before they existed. He'd bring moderate Tories with him & is so toxic to ERG loons that Lab, SNP, Green, Plaid & co could credibly support a temporary GNU led by him. #KenClarke4PM #RevokeA50

@Tuckleton Err JC has done diddly squat on Brexit thus far, other than repel supporters and MPs from all sides - you wonder why Jo isn’t convinced now? She’s stepping aside to let other respected lab and tory MPs lead!

Do you have white teenage sons? Listen up. I've been watching my boys' online behavior & noticed that social media and vloggers are actively laying groundwork in white teens to turn them into alt-right/white supremacists. Here's how:

@JamesMelville BBC are either being very sloppy, or have become less critical since the new government. Maybe it’s my confirmation bias, but I’m getting more frustrated with their reporting and government news story dominance.

I'm really struggling with trying to justify the idea of a cabinet of women who all happen to be white, by saying this is just because they're the most senior / the leadership. Diane Abbott is the shadow Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper is not in the shadow cabinet at all.
