Alta Sierra Ski Area

Due to high temperatures we are using snow from our Tube Park to maintain coverage for both chair lifts. We will CLOSE the Tubing Park again this weekend 2-28 & 3-1 and reserve that space for free snow play for all ages. Thinning coverage but all runs are open.

Opening Weekend Update ❄️🎿 We are excited to share that thanks to the recent snow, our chair lifts will be open this weekend! At this time, however, the tubing park will not be open. Chains & 4WD are recommended. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you!

Lots more snowfall overnight from these storms. Storm totals now exceed 48”. Opening this weekend 2/21 & 2/22. Fresh powder, lots of snow, and cold temperatures! Carry chains if you have 2WD. 4WD is still advising to have chains with you.

Finally it’s here! 18” of new snow today and more on the way. Alta Sierra Ski Resort will open Saturday & Sunday February 21st & 22nd, 2026. Ticket office opens at 8:00 am. Lifts run 9-4 pm. Visit website for details. AltaSierra.com
