Freshly Minted, ICAN Certified! 👩🏽‍🎓👨🏼‍🎓 Meet Nigeria’s Newest Chartered Accountants The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) proudly inducted 1,851 new members into its prestigious fold at the 75th Induction Ceremony held at the ICAN Centre, Lagos. These inductees have joined the ranks of Nigeria’s most trusted accounting professionals, affirming their commitment to excellence, integrity, and national development. In his address, the Diamond ICAN President, Chief Davidson C. S. Alaribe, FCA, congratulated the inductees and reminded them that: “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” He encouraged the new Chartered Accountants to uphold discipline and integrity, pursue continuous growth, and take full advantage of ICAN’s Faculties and training opportunities to stay ahead in a dynamic professional landscape. A major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to outstanding performers from the recent professional examinations. The prestigious Star Prize, endowed by the late Managing Partners of Akintola Williams Deloitte (now Deloitte & Touche, Nigeria), was awarded to Miss Isa Fatima Azumi for her exceptional performance. In her thought-provoking keynote address, Lady Ada Chukwudozie, Chairman of Keystone Bank Limited, charged the inductees to embrace their roles not just as accountants, but as financial leaders and nation builders. “Today is not just a formality but a rite of passage. You are now custodians of trust and architects of Nigeria’s economic prosperity.” She emphasized that professional excellence must be matched with ethical courage, technological adaptability, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
