@MaffiMTG @fireshoes Yeah needing to run FoN to beat it seems a bit rough, and a lot of the other best answers are too slow if the opponent has the turn 2 combo on the play so I wouldn't be surprised if it does get banned but hopefully the format can adjust

@AlthMtg @fireshoes Tbh you can beat It with FoN so that's why they might think it's fine, but a 4 card turn 2 win that also combos turn 3 fairly easily Is a bit much. Can't even Needle It i think because it's a mana ability

19-1 and #1 with my Historic Food Chain Humans deck! Food Chain + Evangel goes infinite as early as turn 2 & you have a really solid grindy backup plan against the interactive decks. I've done a full in-depth deck guide video with gameplay here: youtu.be/n8-c_7Nh_eg @fireshoes

@MaffiMTG @fireshoes T1 mana dork, T2 Food Chain exile the dork cast Evangel, make infinite mana and infinite 3/1s off Evangel, then if you have another Recruiter you can get Imodane for lethal, or you can Peddler away any outs the opponent has to allow your Evangels to attack for lethal next turn

@mattvig_ I don't think the aggro build is really viable anymore with the Temple ban since you need to cast your 3 drops on 2 which you can't really do anymore, plus with Dimir & Jund being everywhere your creatures not having a cast trigger makes it difficult to outgrind their interaction

@AlthMtg I think the aggro version is better now than the ramp one. Am i wrong?
