Before venerating the Cross during the celebration of the Passion of the Lord yesterday, Pope Leo removed his chasuble, fisherman's ring, and shoes. These acts symbolize humbling oneself before Christ on the day of the Lord's death. By removing the Fisherman's Ring, the Pope sets aside his official authority and role, appearing simply as a servant of God. The act of going barefoot mimics a profound level of reverence and humility.

@Yippeerach I think he cared deeply and know what need to be done, but is not good on conveying it directly, that's why he failed convince Aline to get out of the canvas instead he is being trapped underneath the monolith by Aline. He is conveying it better through his paintings (the Axons)

@Yippeerach I think Clea changed since she has to deal with the family affair with the Writers alone, which should have been the duty of Aline and Renoir, after Verso's death without having proper time for grieving for herself.

Do you think Aline painted Clea to be softer in the Canvas because Clea was a soft and kind soul when she was younger but hardened when she became an adult and Aline misses how Clea once was?

@tothemoon0978 Also Aline and Clea blamed her again and again for Verso's death. That's a great burden for her to be reminded countless times on her mistake. I can understand how she prefer her friends on the canvas than her real life family.

In Verso’s ending, Maelle/Alicia doesn’t just live a life where she’s disfigured, mute, blind in one eye, and in pain when breathing. She also has to deal with the guilt of losing her two brothers.(Verso&Gustave) This also doesn’t even mention dealing with the grief of losing ppl in the canvas like Lune, Sciel, Esquie, P.Verso and Monoco.

@VersoVerse Agree. Maellicia should've honored her "brother's" (she called him that at the end) wish, but instead she bargained (more of forced) her wish instead. But to be fair, Verso would've bargained with painted Alicia to stay alive for him too if he had a chance at the Reacher.

That’s me with Expedition 33. I’ll never choose A Life to Paint while playing, but when I think/write about Verso I’m like: 'sorry my canon, this man is getting properly loved' and I put him in an emotional bubble wrap.

@VersoVerse Renoir is a really good father. He would trade his life for Verso at a heartbeat, but also still rebuked Verso for "wearing mask" all the time which will hinder him from being a great artist (thus the Visages). Such a fatherly love.

I think about this scene a lot. It never really leaves my mind. Like, sometimes I randomly say “I would have traded my years for his.” Ah, Renoir… you’ve probably got a lot to make up for.

@VersoVerse At the time she wrote that letter, painted Alicia still wish to live and find a middle way for both the real and painted Dessendre family, but after the conclusion on Act II, she just want to be returned to her family, who have all been erased.

This scene is the definition of plot twist. The music playing during it not being on the 8-hour soundtrack is another one.

@melscanvas_ I wonder how was the fate of hundreds of canvas world Renoir and Aline made in the past. Is it abandoned into nothingness? Since I think they won't have time to attend each of those worlds frequently

@Silaistheb32044 @melscanvas_ Yes, but it disregards Maelle's wish to stay on canvas. Doing it Maelle's way also disregards Verso's wish to be erased from canvas. We don't talk on right or wrong here, just how either decision will always affect the other party (subjectively) negatively
