every card transaction on altitude now comes with its receipt already attached.
forward a receipt, a photo, a pdf, or a merchant email, and it gets matched to the transaction on its own. altitude agent reconciles tips, taxes, and FX conversions, and clears anything within expected tolerance. anything outside it goes to a person.
matching a receipt to a transaction is easy. the harder problem is telling an expected variance from one that actually needs a person to look at it, and that's what altitude agent does. it checks a document against live financial activity and reasons about why the numbers differ before deciding if the difference is fine. altitude bill pay is powered by the same agent.
the finance function is heading toward systems that hold enough financial context to make the call themselves. a lot of manual finance work won't be around much longer.
we're going to keep putting this same capability to work across more of what altitude does. this is just the start of it.
