Art directing marketing visuals for @DestinyTheGame has been especially rewarding because it has given me the opportunity to work with so many talented artists whose work l've admired for years. It has also allowed me to hire and develop both internal and external creative talent to support the breadth of visual content required for a live service game like Destiny 2. One of the ongoing challenges of art direction is finding the right balance in how much visual direction to provide. How broad or specific my feedback needs to be often depends on an artist's strengths, our working relationship, and their familiarity with the brand. Over the past couple of years, I've focused more deeply on art direction for @Bungie, and it has been a continual process of building on what has worked well while learning where I can improve. Below are a few #Destiny2 illustrations and composites I helped shape through creative and art direction that are meaningful to me. I'm grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with so many talented artists and agencies, and for the time, craft, and care they brought to these pieces. Assume the movie had flopped and the director lost his entire $750,000 investment. How many crew members would have voluntarily returned their fees to help offset his loss? This is the fundamental asymmetry in risk and reward. When someone puts up their own capital and shoulders the real financial risk especially in a high-failure industry like entertainment they alone bear the downside. Yet the moment the project succeeds, suddenly everyone who was paid upfront wants a bigger piece of the pie. The same people who would not have shared in the loss now feel entitled to share disproportionately in the upside. If you accept payment for your work regardless of outcome, you’ve already been compensated for your risk (or lack thereof). Why should the person who risked everything not be allowed to reap the rewards when their gamble pays off?

Incrível como esse time da LEV é EXATAMENTE o que nós esperávamos no anúncio da line-up. Um time agressivo, com muita mira, flexibilidade e muita diversão jogando. Definitivamente, esse é o time "BR" mais divertido de assistir em MUITO TEMPO. Mérito da LEV de ter acreditado nas "crianças" e do kiNgg por ter moldado esse time extremamente bem. A experiência dele auxiliou muito a molecada a evoluir e pensar mais alto. O Neon é uma bizarrice, possivelmente fazendo (em termos de constância) um dos melhores anos de estreia de um jogador no Valorant. Sato e spike são jogadores que nós já conhecíamos já tínhamos inúmeras expectativas, e é incrível como são jogadores excepcionais! E por fim, mas não menos importante, o blowz é uma grata surpresa. Sabíamos do seu potencial, mas o seu nível de utilitária e mira é insano para um rookie. Resumindo, esse time da LEV encanta os olhos de quem gosta de um bom Valorant! A LEV É TOP 4 DO MUNDO EM MEIO ANO DE LINE!
