@AlucardoBernard @LancesEmporium I'm viewing games like I have common sense. Maybe you're not paying attention to the rest of the industry but devs are shutting games down when players drop. Some will keep the games up but will never add new content.

While i think the new Trader and especially the Expedition Vault is a great addition, this will not keep a alot of players playing until October - and i think Embark is taking the wrong approach here. Every single part of the Frozen Trail Update would be direly needed now - ASAP - in the game. Why bundle everything together? Why not split it up and release those things every 1-2 months? Why make us wait 5 MONTHS for that? This would have given us something to look forward to and something that really makes us come back again and again. But this way we only have some - for many players - quite disappointing updates and a very weak finale to the last Road Map to play for MONTHS to come. Beside that, alot of big titles are already set or expected to release in Q3/Q4 2026, which makes this decision even more questionable.

@nickjcal Like chances are if there is a game I might want to play i go watch @CohhCarnage play it. I know he will give a sincere opinion good or bad, and in general the way he plays games allows me to come to my own conclusion even if I disagree with his.

@nickjcal I have not read an actual "review" of a video game in years. But there are a handful of people who have similar taste, or enjoy similar genres as I do and when I need to vete a game I go watch them play or talk about it.

The people that make it in the gaming space have unique voices and things to say. People will wait for what they have to say and the only reason to be “first” was for Google traffic which is dead. And don’t make “Twitter” your audience.
