Because Hannah Arendt’s insights into the “thoughtlessness” that motivated Nazis like Eichmann mortally threatened their MIND CONTROL mission!!
Arendt understood the “thoughtlessness” she observed in Nazi administrators like Adolf Eichmann to be a state of mind in which one performs actions as though there are no moral consequences to consider. Like a robot!
It’s the “just following orders” mentality that MKUltra mind control programs seek to perfect. To make Manchurian candidates. Or Stepford wives, acting with their eyes wide open and failing to see dehumanization and atrocities all around them.
The overlords have long sought ways to create the perfect Hitler, the populist leader who could build the biggest, strongest ideological container of all.
Arendt’s suspicions of a deranged psyche, and her speculation about the cause of Eichmann’s thoughtlessness, could have derailed them.
So Steven B. Katz and the other sophists at the European Graduate School memory-holed Arendt.
After refuting and discrediting her thought for decades, the Paperclip Nazi corps of sophists invented a “Hannah Arendt chair” at the European Graduate School and awarded the “chair” to Judith Butler.
Now I understand why. The symbolism.
You see, Jacques Derrida’s manifesto Glas envisions a process of decimating Western civilization and gradually replacing the marble columns that represent the wisdom of the ancients, rising up to heaven, with another column descending down.
A fecal column. Symbolizing the waste that remains after everything good in Western civilization has been butchered and prepared by the Paperclip Nazis for consumption by the overlords.
Judith Butler’s work on gender relativity destroys the boundaries between male and female, decimating our species itself, leaving behind only human waste.
By linguistically placing Butler atop a “Hannah Arendt chair,” the European Graduate School signals the intent to flush the remaining traces of Arendt, and of the truth, from human memory.

Arendt’s perception of the “radical evil” in the totalitarian system is perhaps best captured in one of her letters to Karl Jaspers. She wrote how she was unable to pinpoint “what radical evil really is … but it seems to me it is somehow to do with … making human beings as human beings superfluous.”
Turns out, the French existentialists’ notion of “radical freedom,” with its subversion of absolute definitions of good and evil to the whim’s of one’s own mortal desires, is precisely the pathway to the “radical evil” Arendt notes but couldn’t quite pin down.
Because Arendt could not discover the overlords directly, she could not name their motive.
But by observing the effects of totalitarian control on the civilized world, Arendt intuited the overall objective of the powers that be: genocide.
The motive driving the radical evil of totalitarianism, as Arendt observed, is antihuman — a deliberate attempt to make human beings superfluous.
In my view, evil can be defined as the unchecked impulse to exploit vulnerability; goodness is the impulse to protect the vulnerable.
Radical evil, then, is active, not passive. Radical evil makes a conscious choice to take action to exploit, even when there is an option to refrain from action and to do nothing at all.
Radical evil exists only in the absence of compassion.
The radical evil that animates the Paperclip Nazis drives their core values: total control, absolute exploitation, maximum efficiency, and exquisite deception.
It is the “terminal shpilkes” of a Lex Wexner — the constant craving for more vulnerability to exploit, and the unrestrained drive to actively seek it out.
