"Gravity" is the most successful single-word brainwashing spell ever cast by the deceivers in control of our world. All told, but I don't believe he was divine or magical in any way, Jesus Christ clearly was one of the wiser historical figures to ever live and definitely earned his role as the central figure of one of the world's most prominent religions.
A lot more of his parables can more cleanly translate to the modern day, coming from a Time of more civility and civilization than many of his older contemporaries and even some of his more modern Middle Eastern contemporaries.

The closest I've ever heard was "because he exists at all points in time it means he's functionally there forever" but that always completely forgets that if he exists at all points in time at all points in space he was ALWAYS functionally there forever and the sacrifice changes nothing.
