@HistorianUSA1 @SD73660 So he goes out and buys and finances a new iPhone and takes advantage of the situation by forcing the parents to pay off his $1,000 purchase.

This dad is going viral for a reason. A 13-year-old girl stole his daughter’s $1,000 phone at school in Indiana. School finds it and IDs the thief. He heads straight to file felony charges, but gives the parents an out: pay for the replacement phone and he drops everything. He’s not mad at the parents — he just wants real consequences so kids learn. Plus he lets his daughter carry the phone for safety and in case of an emergency. What would YOU do? Did this dad handle it right — or should he seek full prosecution?

@hothingsgirlsay She followed all the rules. The absolute opposite of a cheat. She’s a woman and “affected” no women except by enjoying the human right of sport, competing and elevating the competition. This is all wrong MJ. Thanks friend.

“THIS IS WHAT CHAOS LOOKS LIKE.” 🚨 @BenBergquam calls out what he sees on the ground in Chicago—activists clashing with ICE operations, blocking streets, and escalating tensions while police resources get stretched thin.

Woman calls police to get them to remove her abusive boyfriend from her house. A domestic disturbance call in Chatham, Illinois, quickly spiraled into a Taser deployment and a masterclass in the "Cycle of Abuse." The male subject, identified as Treyvon L. Smith, was arrested after officers responded to reports of a physical altercation between him and his girlfriend. Upon arrival, officers found the female victim with a bloody nose. While the story shifted several times—initially claiming he "tripped" her—she eventually admitted that Smith threw a vape at her face during an argument over alleged infidelity. When officers informed Smith he was under arrest, he decided to test his luck on a narrow balcony. He refused to comply, pulled away, and became verbally aggressive, resulting in a Taser deployment to bring him into custody. Despite her visible injuries, the woman immediately switched into protection mode. She began screaming that she didn't want him to go to jail, claimed she "started it," and even tried to recant her statement as he was being escorted away. Smith was hauled off for Domestic Battery and Resisting a Peace Officer. Watching this play out is like watching a car wreck in slow motion. You can see the exact moment the victim's fear of him comes into view. It’s a textbook example of the trauma bond—she’s injured due to his actions, but she would rather go to jail then have him believe that she is pressing charges on him. This is clearly her fear of retaliation from him. Statistically, it takes an average of seven attempts for a victim to leave an abusive relationship for good. My money is on her taking him back that same day even though Illinois state law requires them to stay away from each other for 72 hours. It’s a frustrating cycle where the bodycam captures the truth, but the victim is too deep in the cycle to see it yet. Hopefully she breaks free from this guy before things progress further.

These sheriffs saved this woman from what her parents were doing to her. Baldwin County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a medical call that quickly turned into a high-stakes criminal investigation. What they found inside a local residence was a scene of "unimaginable" neglect. First responders were called to the home for a medical emergency involving Stacy McLellan, a vulnerable adult. Upon entering her room, deputies were hit with an overwhelming stench. They found Stacy severely emaciated, weak, and living in a room filled with trash, human waste, and debris. The investigation immediately shifted focus to her primary caregivers: her father, Terry Joe McLellan, and her stepmother, Vicki McLellan. When questioned, the parents offered a defense that shocked the public. They claimed Stacy was "stubborn" and had refused to eat or bathe. They argued they were "overwhelmed" and had simply stopped trying to provide care, failing to call for professional medical help even as her health reached a critical state. Both Terry Joe and Vicki were arrested and charged with Aggravated Elder Abuse and Neglect, a Class B felony in Alabama. They were released on $30,000 bonds pending trial. If convicted, they face up to 20 years in prison. Stacy was immediately removed from the home and placed under state guardianship. She is currently receiving professional medical care and long-term rehabilitation. This footage serves as a stark reminder of the legal "duty of care" owed to those who cannot protect themselves.

These details are hard to ignore and the community needs answers. What began as a situation involving kids walking in the street or as police called it jaywalking escalated far beyond what citizens say anyone would expect. One child was arrested and slammed to the ground while she was already in handcuffs. Moments like this raise serious questions about how situations involving young people are handled, and whether the response matches the circumstance.
