WHY I ALMOST LEFT TON AND WHY I’M STAYING The major reason I left @toncommunity was lack of support and recognition. I also felt hurt by what happened during the hackathon at @IdentityHubApp. I have been on @ton_blockchain since 2023. I contributed on the backend through documentation. I submitted pull requests that were not merged. I did all this for the love of the chain. I joined several hackathons but was never recognized. I am active in the community as an official Ambassador. I believed I deserved some recognition, but I stayed quiet. I built a project for someone in Germany during Hackers League. He reached the semi-final. That is one of my biggest achievements on TON. This time, I clearly ranked at the top, then my points were suddenly reduced. No explanation. That made me feel like a stranger on TON. I even started thinking it was because I am Black. After my announcement, I had conversations with my boss @s0meone_u_know. He explained the Identity platform is still in beta. Other builders also raised concerns. We had internal discussions. I understood the situation better and saw I was not alone. The way he handled it showed my earlier thoughts were wrong. TON is decentralized and open to everyone. Viktor is truly an a good leader I really appreciate how he handle the situation professionally. I also spoke with our US lead @moontripss. Some of her messages moved me. Her words made me feel valued in the ecosystem. She appreciated my work, and that meant a lot. One question she asked stayed with me. She said, “Devmustee, where will you build @Raven_wallet?” I still do not have an answer. My boss also said he does not see why I should leave the ecosystem. That reminded me that my role is important. I received a message from someone in TON Foundation. I will not mention the name. He said they are working on something big to support the community. He acknowledged the recent lack of support and said improvements are coming. They want me involved. Project founders I work with also reached out. Some paid me for support. We spoke, and they advised me to stay. They said they need me. I also know leaving without completing paid work would not sit right with me. Community members sent many messages. Some asked why I was leaving. What touched me most were messages from people I onboarded and mentored. That meant a lot. This experience showed me that the TON Foundation cares about the community. They listen, even if they do not see every issue immediately. I am staying. I am part of the TON ecosystem. Thank you for the support and kind messages. Dont for to congratulate me for hitting 30k followers ❤

IMPORTANT: TON Core has just announced the Planned Schedule for the upcoming upgrade to lower the gas fees on TON Blockchain: 📆 April 28, 12:00 UTC — Validator software update 📆 April 30, 13:00 UTC — Vote to lower gas prices in the blockchain configuration - Lower fees are important for the next stages of the MTONGA plan. Since fees do not constitute a significant portion of validator rewards, validator rewards are expected to decrease by less than 0.4%
