In 1 Timothy 1 9:10 it classes slave traders among the sinners, and in Galatians 3:28 it says that there is no slave or master in Christ. If we had adhered to this we wouldn’t have killed our own for a bunch of blacks to overrun the south after they were emancipated. What happened after the war is up for debate, but I believe Lincoln did want them to go back.
