Register here: eventbrite.com/e/apf-leadersh… Nayeema Raza is creator and host of “Smart Girl Dumb Questions,” a Spotify Wrapped Top 10 Best New Show of 2025, and 2026 iHeart Podcast Award Winner for Best Emerging Podcast. The podcast unpacks big ideas with irreverent questions. Nayeema has asked Mark Cuban "can billionaires save us?," Neil deGrasse Tyson "how would we know if we’re in a simulation?," Esther Perel “why are relationships harder now?,” and two New York City doormen “what are people like when no one’s watching?” The show makes curiosity cool and communal again in a world where most of our questions are asked secretly to our phones. Prior to launching SGDQ, Nayeema was a Senior Editor at The New York Times and an Editorial Director at New York Magazine. She was the Co-Host of Semafor's "Mixed Signals" and was previously the On-Air Executive Producer of Vox's "On with Kara Swisher” and New York Times’s “Sway.” Nayeema continues to be a frequent guest host on the NPR show "Open to Debate" for which she won a 2024 Gracie Award for Best Radio Host. Nayeema started her career in international development, working on large-scale policy reform in Libya, Vietnam and South Africa before pivoting to filmmaking. Her screen credits include the feature documentary "Sublime” (Tribeca Film Festival, 2019) and the ten-part series “That Animal Rescue Show” (CBS All Access/Telluride 2020). Nayeema is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Writers Guild of America, on the Young Patrons Leadership Committee of PEN America and a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute. She holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, an MPA from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a BSFS from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Nayeema is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University where she teaches a course of technology, media and the end of trust. #Leadership #APF #Journalism #Podcast

APF’s United Nations Fellows attended sessions at the Commission on the Status of Women 70 (CSW70), organized by UN Women, where global leaders, advocates, and policymakers came together to discuss advancing gender equality. Throughout the week, fellows joined conversations on topics ranging from health and law to artificial intelligence and technology, exploring how these areas intersect with women’s rights and empowerment. The experience gave fellows the opportunity to hear diverse global perspectives and engage with important discussions on how policy, innovation, and collaboration can help support women and girls worldwide. #UNWomen #CSW70 #APF #Fellowship #WomensRights
