It's called democracy. If the constituency votes in a Green MP who believes in allowing thousands of undocumented men in the country then they will be only too happy to have the detention camps in their area. Sorry Simon you're not reading the room on this one.
Simon Clarke@SirSimonClarke

We need to stop illegal immigration, but this is abhorrent from Reform. Zia is proposing the siting of detention centres expressly as a form of political punishment for people and places that don’t vote Reform - not just Green, but presumably Conservative, Liberal and Labour too. (And what about Reform voters in those constituencies?) It would almost certainly be deemed an abuse of ministerial power for political purposes, and as such would likely be stuck down in court before ever being implemented, wasting millions for the taxpayer without detaining anyone. If it were to go ahead, it would still represent an appalling waste of public money as these sites might well not be in any way suitable for the proposed centres, or near the other infrastructure required. What’s worse is that he is doing all this to provoke outrage and draw attention to Reform a few days out from the local elections. Reform know what they are doing. But this goes beyond a pre-election stunt. It’s declared as a major policy commitment, and should be treated as such. We need a proper plan to leave the ECHR and restore safe border controls, not gimmicks that wouldn’t survive first contact with reality.

This is going to upset a lot of people…I don’t care. We had had another 700+ asylum seekers/migrants/dangerous unknowns land on the south coast this weekend. It’s now abundantly clear that this government are doing NOTHING about it. In fact they are now coming from Belgium as well so I’m sure we’ll be bunging half a £billion quid for them to do nothing sometime soon. These men are a danger to our country, a danger to our women and a danger to our entire society. Therefore if you vote Labour this Thursday or worse still vote Green who want to make the problem considerably bigger then you’re a traitor….its a simple as that. You are betraying the country, betraying our kids and betraying our women.

This is fair. If you vote green; you are voting for open borders and therefore won’t mind if illegal migrants are housed in your area whilst awaiting deportation.

I'm not a racist or a fascist I am a gay man who has worked from 16. I will retire in 4 years . I have always loved my country but am so disillusioned with the present @Keir_Starmer and past conservative government who I gave my vote to. I have been let down in many ways. Nigel Farage had claimed this £5 million was for his safety. This is easily proved: show us the financial records that prove that since you received this donation you have used sizeable amounts to improve your safety. £5 million for security is as much as the Royals get. So again, show us the receipts. Violence against any politician is to be abhorred. BUT if it turns Farage used this as an excuse to cover up wrong doing then it is cry wolf of the very worst kind. And as I state above, incredibly easy to prove me wrong. Publish receipts showing how much of that £5 million has been spent on security. Not that it excuses the fact once an MP he “forgot” that a major political donor to Reform gave him £5 million…
Kemi Badenoch@KemiBadenoch

Why did Farage run scared from news interviews today? It’s because there’s something fishy about the £5 million he took. And he knows it. He’s normally very happy to shout from a TV studio -as long as he controls the terms. The truth is that cash wasn’t for Reform. Watch👇

In Ireland, the existence of Jews is a provocation. That’s what this video teaches us. Any attack on a Jew can be justified because of the “complex backdrop”. Just like any assault on a woman can be justified because of her provocations. What she wore. How she behaved. How she was minding her own business. Jews are a provocation. Our right to exist is a provocation. Our right to have an independent nation is a provocation despite our indigenous ties to the land. On October 7, these same morons thought attacks on Jews in Israel were justified because Gazans were provoked. The provocation was not land or false claims of “apartheid” and “colonialism”. The provocation is Jews existing on a border with Islamism. This provocation has since been extended and reawakened throughout the diaspora because Israel’s response to October 7 is now the provocation for attacking Jews everywhere. This is why antizionism is always a hate movement and why the symbols and slogans of “free Palestine” were always designed as intimidation. They were born as a response to the mere existence of a Jewish state. Hence the Palestinians never accepting an offer for a two state solution. It would not resolve the provocation: that Jews exist. And hence the silence from these Irish bigots. Jewish existence is taboo. It’s a provocation. They have nothing to say.

Margaret Connolly, on RTÉ Six One News “My heart lies with the Palestinian people. We’ve had 800 years of colonisation by England. Why wouldn’t I go on the flotilla?” Neither of the Connolly sisters have said a word about the massacre of 40,000 Iranian citizens over a couple of days by the IRGC mullah regime.
