Last week in Majuli, our retreat took a turn at Ayang trust. We heard their journey. Saw their work in education, livelihoods, and community resilience. What stayed with us was their clarity. Different place. Same conviction. Grateful for the openness and learning.

Nutrition support reached families across Barpeta last month. AMAN Foundation, with Dabur India Ltd., led distribution drives in March 2026, focusing on flood-prone and char areas. Supporting vulnerable households and promoting healthy living, hygiene, and balanced nutrition.

We hosted Rekha ji, Alumni, and Pallavi ji, Year 2 Fellow from Learning Companions. They shared field experiences from working with migrant communities. Our Year 1 fellows saw what commitment looks like in practice. The room had energy and curiosity. Grateful for their time.

SHG book keeping training held at Sutirpathar on 14 Feb. Training was given by Jivika Sakhi of ASRLM with AMAN Foundation team. Twelve members from SHGs strengthened skills on registers, savings records, and responsible loan management to improve group financial practices.

In Sonpura Village, a 150-foot bamboo foot bridge now connects people to school, fields, and daily services. Built through community effort, villagers contributed labor and local materials to solve a long standing access challenge during the rainy season. @goonj

As part of our livelihood project, the first batch of goatry support was distributed to farmers to help them start scientific goat rearing. The support aims to reduce early risks, build confidence, and strengthen livestock based income for rural households.

Women farmers joined an exposure visit on Scientific Goat Rearing at Diya Foundation, Kamrup. Field learning and interaction with experienced farmers strengthened practical skills, confidence, and motivation to improve livelihoods. Heartfelt thanks to Diya Foundation.

After the training on scientific sugarcane cultivation, we supported farmers with sugarcane inputs to start cultivation in their own fields. This step helps farmers put new knowledge into practice, reduce initial risk, and work towards better yield and secure income for them.

Farmers took part in a practical training on Scientific Sugarcane Cultivation led by a trainer from Howly KVK. The session covered improved varieties, planting methods, fertilizer use, and simple practices to boost yield and reduce loss. A step toward stronger, more sustainable.

Learning from the Field, Strengthening Livelihoods The AMAN Foundation team, with women farmers and SHG members, visited SeSTA in Chapar Block, Dhubri to learn scientific goat rearing and sustainable poultry practices. Grateful to the SeSTA team for their guidance and support.

Continuing the learning journey, a second batch of women farmers took part in Scientific Goat Rearing training led by the Veterinary Department, Barpeta at Kalgachia Block. The session highlighted food and nutrition management to support healthier goats and stronger livelihoods.
