@markabelan If you are above this threshold I believe there is an expectation to apply for a VAT number (even as a foreign company)... However, I am certainly no expert and am just speaking from personal experience.

@markabelan My situation is reversed (working in France for Canada as a science illustrator) but the way I understand is that if you are invoicing for less than 35,000 EUR annually you are exempt from the VAT and can simply put "VAT not applicable, Art. 293 B of the CGI" on the invoice."
