She is Ranjani Srinivasan, a PhD student at Columbia Univ, NY. Her visa was revoked by USA for "advocating terrorism" after she joined pro-Hamas protests at the university. So, she self-deported to India to avoid a military deportation flight. Her parents sent her abroad so she could study and make something of herself, but she couldn't resist the urge to get involved in pointless activism. She lost her visa and her course. The blessing in disguise for her is that she can join Jadavpur or JNU here and do plenty of pro-Hamas activism. No one will bother. Everything is allowed here.
