Bitcoin Dominance has slowly and steadily climbed since the market started to bounce at the end of March. BTC.D strength is common as BTC recovers from the base of bear markets. We saw something similar in late 2020 as Bitcoin started to climb back to previous all time highs. It wasn't until after this happened that we started to see a stretch where alts consistently outperformed. I expect something similar to happen here: USD prices slowly climb across the board, but Bitcoin continues to outperform until it approaches its previous ATHs... sometime after, we see a real alt season.

The country's foreign population has hit record levels. The change lands directly on the crypto wealth migration trail. Portugal has been the EU's most crypto-friendly destination for years: zero tax on long-term crypto gains, no VAT on crypto, the NHR 2.0 regime, and a Golden Visa pathway that's been quietly absorbing crypto wealth via Bitcoin-linked funds. Lisbon and Porto became Europe's crypto hubs as a result. ETHLisbon, NFC Summit, and Solana Breakpoint have all run there. Coinbase, Bitpanda, and Kraken built local presences. Unbound Fund pioneered the first Bitcoin-ecosystem Golden Visa in 2025. The citizenship clock now starts from the date of first residence permit, not application. New civic knowledge tests and democratic-values commitments apply. Anyone already mid-process under the old 5-year rule is grandfathered in.
