Met with H.E. Robert Jan Siegert, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Pakistan. Discussed regional developments, the current security situation, and terrorism’s impact on regional stability.

Held a virtual meeting with my Uzbek counterpart to discuss security challenges faced by Afghanistan's neighbours due to thousands of terrorists hosted by the Taliban. Reportedly, the number of Uzbek terrorists stationed in Afghaniastan is over 2,500 - possibly the second-largest group of terrorists after TTP.

Chaired an Afghanistan Central Asia Inter-governmental Coordination Cell (ACICC) meeting to discuss Pakistan's relations with Central Asian states, focusing on trade, transit, and investment. Senior officials from Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Communications and SIFC, BOI, and other stakeholders attended.

Matters of mutual interest were discussed, including regional security dynamics, cross-border terrorism, and threats posed by groups based in Afghanistan. Coordinated diplomatic efforts to address shared regional security concerns were also discussed.

Met with Timothy Kane, High Commissioner of Australia to Pakistan, in Islamabad. We discussed regional security challenges and cross-border terrorism issues.

Met with the UNAMA delegation led by Mr. Indrika Ratwatte, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Resident Coordinator, and Humanitarian Coordinator for Afghanistan accompanied by Mr. Malick Ceesay, Head of the UNAMA Liaison Office in Islamabad. Discussed current human rights situation, security developments, trade, and other key regional issues. I underscored Pakistan’s perspective regarding cross-border terrorism, emphasizing the serious security challenges to the region posed by terrorist groups based in Afghanistan. We highlighted the importance of ensuring that Afghan soil is not used against any country and stressed the need for coordinated regional and international efforts to address this shared threat. The meeting reaffirmed the value of continued engagement and cooperation to promote stability, humanitarian support, counterterrorism coordination, and sustainable economic development in the region.

Met with Mr. Richard Bennett, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Afghanistan. We exchanged views on the latest developments concerning human rights situation and prevailing security challenges.
