#DYK? America’s first Code Talkers were from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. During World War I, Choctaw men in the 36th Infantry Div. transmitted messages in their Native language & confused the Germans (who were wiretapping communication lines). #NAHM #ArchivesSalute

For the 17 years that I have worked at the @OKArtsCouncil, Lou Kerr has been a force for all things art. Her impact in preserving the art treasures at the Capitol and ensuring arts access were unmatched. She will be greatly missed. Prayers and love to her family.
