Situationships are one of the worst things modern dating normalized. They are just a way for people to enjoy the attention, closeness, and benefits of relationship without giving any real commitment. It is selfish, confusing, and unfair. One person is usually hoping it turns into something real while the other is just enjoying the convenience. It wastes time, creates false hope, and leaves people hurt for no reason.

never force relationships or communication. if it's not mutual, then let it go. people know exactly what they're doing. if they wanted to match your energy, they would. start rewarding inconsistency with unavailability. allow them to lose you because of their lack of effort.

Nobody really talks about how draining it is living in that in-between space. One minute you telling yourself things gon get better, the next minute you feel like you at your breaking point. It's a quiet battle, feeling both strong and tired at the same time, holding on while barely hanging on. And that space? That's where a lot of healing starts, even when it don't feel like it yet.
