They told Americans there was only one acceptable answer during COVID. And anyone who questioned it got punished. Doctors silenced. Patients mocked. Cheap alternatives attacked. Billion dollar pharmaceutical companies protected. During COVID, the system made a choice. It chose Remdesivir, a hospital administered drug costing thousands of dollars per treatment, with emergency use authorization and limited safety data. It chose to ignore ivermectin, a drug with a 40-year safety record, a Nobel Prize in 2015 for human use, available for pennies per dose. Doctors who prescribed ivermectin to their patients were derided, threatened, and forced to resign from hospitals. One doctor was forced out of Houston Methodist Hospital. Another lost his positions at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The FDA mocked them publicly. “You are not a horse.” Then the courts stepped in. The Fifth Circuit ruled the FDA “is not a physician” and that “even tweet-sized doses of personalized medical advice are beyond the FDA’s statutory authority.” A former senior FDA adviser testified before Congress that “the FDA mocked pharmacists, physicians, and American patients interested in inexpensive, safe, established alternative medical therapies.” The FDA was forced to permanently delete its most popular tweet in history and remove all related posts. Here is the question nobody in Washington wants to answer: Why does the system always reach for the expensive, patented, profit generating treatment, and suppress the cheap, proven, off-patent alternative? Who benefits when a $5 treatment gets replaced by a $3,000 one? Follow the money. This is exactly what the Great American Health Alliance was built to fight. A sick care system that profits from keeping you sick. That suppresses affordable alternatives. That uses public health emergencies as wealth transfer mechanisms. If a real emergency comes, one with a death rate that demands genuine urgency, will they do it again? I think we already know the answer. That’s why transparency, informed consent, and patient control over healthcare decisions aren’t just policy positions. They are matters of life and death.
