🚨🚨🌕| NEW: Bruno Guimarães is on Manchester United’s radar and has the possibility of changing clubs. A transfer would only occur if United were willing to pay between €75-80M. Casemiro has been pushing for a deal happen. [@gustavohofman, Bruno Andrade, @ESPNBrasil]

🚨💣Thinking about it — if Man Utd manage to sign Bruno Guimarães, which could be possible — does it not also become very likely that Man Utd ALSO would sign Elliot Anderson? 🔺I mentioned in a post recently that I was against going after Bruno G due to age and cost. But I have changed my mind. Here is why: When we say that signing Casemiro has been ”worth it” — we are not taking into account what Utd could have signed if the money spent on Casemiro was spent on someone else. Players like Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo and co will all be significantly cheaper than Casemiro, because we get 4 years from Case and they will be getting 7-8 years plus from Rice and Caicedo. The same apply to Bruno G. So he would be darn expensive, knowing that we probably won’t get more than <4 seasons out of him. But — signing Guimarães comes with ONE very big advantage. Bruno G is a tremendous leader on the pitch. Nobody battles harder than him. He is tremendously respected around the PL, for a very good reason. If Utd sign Bruno G — which other midfielder in the world would not want to come here? Like an Elliot Andersson will know that if we have signed Bruno G and he also signs with us — we will be a lot stronger. He would not have to come here and do all the heavy lifting. A ton of things would have to go our way to contend for a title — but that opportunity all of a sudden actually exist. 🔺But could we really afford signing both Bruno G and Elliot Anderson? I think you just as well can ask the question, can Utd afford to — not — sign them? United’s wage bill and investment in the squad have fallen miles behind all top rivals in the PL. Simply because the club can’t afford to spend more without owner support while being in and out of the CL. But let’s rewind the tape — and assume that the Glazers would have underwritten the signing of both Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo in 2023 for £200m. I would bet my right arm on that United have lost more money from not spending those 200m in lost CL and PL money. Signing really good football players is always going to be worth it. Financially, from a business perspective, it is a no-brainer. 🔺And even so — Anderson has a CL clause and Bruno Guimarães due to his age won’t be extremely expensive. For a club like United, with a squad as thin as ours is, and with Zirkzee and Ugarte leaving — we can easily afford to spend around £300m. Spending £140m in transfer fees for Bruno G and Eliott Anderson is nothing. They would take up a big chunk of available wage space in the ’budget’. But if we complement the signing of two elite midfielders like that with signing say the below players, that would come at lower wages, our finances would be perfectly OK: Yan Diomande ~ £70m Lucien Agoume ~ £40m El Hadji Malik Diouf ~ £40m 🔺Depth-chart: #1 ———————Sesko——————— Cunha————Bruno————Amad ———Anderson——Guimarães—— Shaw—Martinez——Yoro——Dalot ——————Lammens—————— #2 ———————Mbuemo—————— Dorgu————Mount———Diomande ———Agoume———Mainoo———— Diouf——Heaven——MDL———-Maz ————————Vitek——————— +Maguire, Obi, JJ Gabriel, Lacey

🚨 JUST IN: Manchester United are evaluating a move for Bruno Guimarães. United have shown interest in signing him and have already made informal enquiries. #MUFC [@simpraisa]

Tomorrow's game is going to be tough by the way. We struggle on tight pitches + the team lacks width in the attacking phase. It might be a repetition of the West Ham performance.

In order to suffer an embarrassing defeat in the Champions League, you have to be in the Champions League. Certain clubs laughing this evening might want to let that sink in.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah laid the foundation for Ghana’s film industry by establishing the Gold Coast Film Unit in 1948 under the Information Services Department and, after independence, transforming it into the State Film Company, which became the Ghana Film Industry Corporation (GFIC). He built West Africa’s most advanced film facility at the time, enabling early achievements like the first Ghanaian celluloid film The Boy Kumasenu (1952). under Jerry John Rawlings’ PNDC and later NDC governments, the Ghana Film Industry Corporation (GFIC) was privatized as part of economic reforms influenced by the IMF, leading to its sale to the Thai company BEC-TERO. BEC-TERO used the premises to establish TV3 in 1997 before selling it two years later to Malaysia’s Media Prima, which then annexed and renamed the GFIC as GAMA Film Company Limited. This privatization encompassed the land and facilities originally built for the film industry, including the site now occupied by Afrikiko restaurant in Kanda and the current TV3 premises.

Why is the fanbase obsessed with midfielders with pace and power? Technical midfielders are far ahead of them. PSG and Barcelona midfields are prime examples
