No one believes me when I say this, but the decline in reading is already having dire consequences for art & culture. The media you loved in your youth—shows, albums, films—was made by artists who were widely read. You will not have that quality of art in a post-literate world.

Fandoms are a lot less fun bc social skills are deteriorating fast. The same goes for emotional intelligence, reading comprehension, and media literacy. All of this creates an ugly mix of nitpickers who miss context & end up creating unnecessary drama, draining all the fun

I think everyone deserves to have their feelings heard without being dismissed/attacked. When famous ppl speak up, it often signals a fragile mental state, so the vicious reaction to this is honestly concerning. Mental health shouldn't only matter when it involves your own fave

I don't even think it's important right now whether he got bullied or not. What matters is the reaction to an actor voicing his feelings. If they act like this toward an actor, I don't want to imagine what they'd say if an actress spoke up. I don't think anyone will after this.
