Summer is here — and we’re ready! 🙌 Over the next 9 weeks, we’ll walk with families in rural Nicaragua to bring them clean, running water. All of our volunteers visiting us throughout the next few months will all be helping rural communities build clean running water systems!

Today we started the construction of a new clean water system in the community of Casa Blanca. This is Ami. She's pregnant and digging her own water line with her 2-year-old son, Jael, by her side. Her unborn child will grow up with clean running water in their home. #Juntos

Check out all these families from Danta, La Picota, El Bejuco, Carlos Fonseca, Danta Aserradores, and Espabel. They all recently came together for a hands-on workshop on starting family gardens - learning practical ways to grow fresh, healthy food right at home.

The community of El Bejuco hosted a vision trip for two other communties. Families from Tintal-Huispante and Villa Francia had the opportunity to learn firsthand from El Bejuco’s experience as they prepare to begin building their own clean water systems. #PathToTransformation

In August 2023, the community of Mayocunda celebrated the completion of their clean water system. Today, they’re paying it forward in the community of Manzano 2, who will complete their water system this year. The future is bright! #PeopleOverProgress #PathToTransformation

The community of Los Balcones has clean running water!

What started as an experiment in the back of the Amigos complex in our greenhouse, has grown into something bigger than we could have ever imagined. Now, families in La Danta are growing their own tomatoes and peppers, right in their own backyards! #BusinessDevelopment

A group of scholarship students with science related majors all gathered together with our very own Dr. Maria for a conversation about their chosen courses of study. They were able to connect, and inspire each other about their future careers in healthcare. #TheFutureIsBright
