@Scobleizer Need far far more narrow AI platforms. 100s of agents forming to help someone do their job. Historically broader the platform the more customization needed which is then harder to get right.

I had breakfast this morning with a friend who runs AI in one of the world's biggest companies. He told me about their AI efforts, which are small and not that important yet. At the end of breakfast said "big enterprise won't adopt AI in huge scale for two more years. At minimum. The nerds in San Francisco don't understand humans and how they adopt things."

@TyBracey 🥇 Player of the season: McGinn 💪 Most improved: Emi Buendia 👏 Unsung hero: Lindelof 👎 Biggest disappointment: Monchi 🔢 Rate the season out of 10: 9.5 (lacked goals otherwise given our constraints this is a spectacular season)

@marshallavfc I agree. I think the extra games will hurt them a lot im the PL. hard to get around that.

Bournemouth and Sunderland will do well in this not because of the format or its weak competition. The majority of PL teams are alot stronger than most teams in the other leagues especially outside the CL sides of those countrys

Question for #avfc if OW has a good WC do you let him leave. Given how hard it is to replace this level PL striker.

@amc89avfc hard part is it takes so long to get comfortable with Emery ball. half to full season. hopefully we make some moves quickly but with the WC that will be a hinderance.

@AmirBormand 100%. Signing players who start and finish 75% of the season games. No more squad fillers.

The result is minor today in the sense that it doesn’t change what a brilliant last week we’ve had beating Liverpool and winning Europa League Cup! But there are over half of the players today playing that I suspect are playing their last games for #avfc and will be moved on.

It's also extrapolating what is happening in engineering to other parts of the business might be a very dangerous assumption. If I am to use the progress of digital transformation at even tech-forward Fortune 500 companies, it's safe to assume adoption, change management, etc etc will be vastly harder than envisioned by those saying the jobs will be gone. Just because a "thing" can do something does not mean it actually will in practice.

Hahaha and people think AI is going to take all jobs in 18 months. Reality is the AI companies will likely price themselves out of that economic possibility for 20 to 40 years. This why I say the notion of replacing human labor is utterly ridiculous. It'll take hundreds of trillions of dollars to replace human labor completely. Who the hell is going to spend a 100 times our current global GDP to automate all jobs?

🦔Microsoft canceled its internal Claude Code licenses this week after token-based billing made the cost untenable, even for a company with effectively infinite cloud resources. Uber's CTO sent an internal memo warning the company burned through its entire 2026 AI budget in just four months. American AI software prices have jumped 20% to 37%, and GitHub (owned by Microsoft) is dropping flat-rate plans for usage-based billing across its products. My Take The AI subsidy era is ending in real time. The same company that put $13 billion into OpenAI and built the Azure infrastructure powering most of Anthropic's compute just looked at the bill from a competitor's coding tool and decided it was not worth paying. That is not a productivity failure on Anthropic's end. Token-based pricing is forcing every enterprise customer to confront the actual cost of running these models at scale, and the number turns out to be far higher than the flat-rate experiments suggested. This ties directly to my Gemini Flash post yesterday. Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google all raised effective prices in the last six months. Enterprises that built workflows assuming AI costs would keep falling are now watching annual budgets evaporate in months. Two outcomes look likely from here. Either enterprises scale back AI usage to fit budgets, which slows the revenue ramp the labs need to justify their valuations ahead of IPOs, or the labs cut prices and absorb the losses, which makes the unit economics worse at exactly the wrong moment. Both paths land in the same place, the numbers stop working, and somebody has to take the writedown. Hedgie🤗

This is interesting because I’ve read a few transfer target pieces from well respected writers who cover Man United every day - and Rogers hasn’t been mentioned once. Chelsea? Never say never but they haven’t got CL football and more recent pieces focus on players they’ll lose…
Pys@CFCPys

🚨 Chelsea and Manchester United are the two main clubs to watch for Morgan Rogers at the moment, and there’s a chance he could communicate where he wants to go before the World Cup. A figure of £80m, maybe more if there’s a bidding war, is expected to be enough to sanction a sale. (@JacobsBen @UnitedStandMUFC)

When we signed this man, the best you heard was "we need depth on a budget" but mostly condemnation, not of the man but the circumstances.. ....but he's been pivotal, when hes played he's rarely been anything but excellent. Our Iceman 🥶
