Some people were trying to disparage China by showing only 1% of its rural areas, while their own capital is riddled with filth.

This is the average state of railway stations in India and China. Do you think that belittling China on Twitter will make India's infrastructure as good as China's? india china

@byteToBorderss It isn't necessary for us to respond in the same way. That would be like jumping into a sewer just because someone else did. And as an Ambedkarite, I believe that if one is to respond, it should be done through self improvement.

@sukiti24 The irony is that instead of improving their own affairs, people are intent on putting others down.

@Siradhvaja I am not talking about the language; I am talking about the script, and that is the Devanagari script.

@Siradhvaja no evidence has been found to prove that the Rigveda predates this. They are merely making a claim, and a claim is not evidence. The key point is that the Rigveda is in the Sanskrit language and the Devanagari script, which indicates that it was composed after the Buddhism.

@Amit24TD It's literally from Jamison and Brereton's translation of the RV, how is it not "official" when it's representative of academic consensus? I also don't get why you keep posting the oldest manuscript here, the text is centuries older than it.

@Siradhvaja Furthermore, the scripts of the Rigveda are Sharada and Devanagari; these scripts came into existence long after the Buddhism, and the texts are in Sanskrit rather than Vedic Sanskrit.

@Amit24TD Except that it's academic consensus that the RV was composed in the Late Bronze Age, there are no scholars, nor any evidence that it postdates the Bronze Age:

My sister became a Sati. She was burned alive, and we are proud of it". These words belong to a true Manuvadi Hindu. Just imagine: as a proud Hindu woman, you might have to become a Sati. This time, I just want to thank Dr. Ambedkar.🙂

@Siradhvaja However, it has already been stated that the Rigveda was also written after the Buddhism; the manuscript that has been discovered dates back only to 1400 AD. x.com/i/status/20667…
Amit _@Amit24TD

@Siradhvaja Incorrect. According to the Gov.of India and UNESCO, the oldest surviving RV manuscript dates to around 1400 AD, after the Buddhism. Also, there is no such term as 'Vedic Sanskrit'; the only recognized terms are 'Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit' and 'Classical Sanskrit,

@Amit24TD No, I cited the Rigveda and the Upanishads, both of which are in Vedic Sanskrit and either predate or are contemporaneous to Buddhism.

@Siradhvaja Yes, you did so, but by citing the Upanishads, which were written after the advent of Buddhism and in Classical Sanskrit.

@Amit24TD ...which is then false, because the word Yoga predates Asanga and Vasubandhu, and the Yogācāra school as I have proved to you. Do you not know how to read?

@Siradhvaja Yes, I did so by citing evidence. x.com/Amit24TD/statu…
Amit _@Amit24TD

@Siradhvaja The word “Yoga” is a contribution of Buddhism. Hiuen Tsang, during his travels between 629-645 AD, recorded that Vasubandhu (4th–5th century CE) of Ayuto (present day Ayodhya) founded the Yogācāra school, one of the four major branches of Buddhism.

@Amit24TD >but now, you must prove with evidence how it originated in Hinduism. I already did:x.com/Siradhvaja/sta…
အနော်ရထာ@Siradhvaja

@Amit24TD False, Yoga is attested the earliest in the RV, for example IV.24.4: "kratūyánti kshitáyo yóga ugrāṣushāṇā́so mithó árṇasātau sáṃ yád víṣó 'vavṛitranta yudhmā́ ā́d ín néma indrayante abhī́ke" No, the Upaniṣads are in Vedic Sanskrit, see Burrow (2001) and Witz (1998).
