@carahulmalodia told me how he went from prosperity to poverty in his childhood, and how these economic challenges shaped his resolve. Sometimes, in hindsight, the constraints (of money, of coming from small city, of taking risk that your situation doesn’t naturally allow) make you 100x better.
We discussed about entrepreneurship, real estate trends, buy vs sell and most importantly about entrepreneurship entails and how the constraints, in hindsight, make you better and not worse.
Rahul believes in long detailed exploratory chats instead of short ones and it was fun to share @nobrokercom journey and learn about his.

Big targets are easy to announce. Living up to them is a different story.
Across the country, our Pan-India NoBrokerHood Sales leaders have been in the thick of it — balancing pressure, navigating uncertainty, and still finding ways to deliver. Not every day looks like a win, but over time, the consistency adds up. And that’s what stands out — the ability to keep going, stay focused, and turn responsibility into real outcomes.
Somewhere along the way, it’s easy to forget what goes into those numbers. The follow-ups that don’t stop, the plans that change midway, the decisions that have to be made quickly — it’s all part of the process. And when that effort compounds into results, it deserves to be seen.

What happens when you tell NoBroker Business leaders that their 3-day offsite has zero PowerPoint presentations ? Miracles—like everyone actually showing up on time at 5 AM in pitch darkness! Even a mid-journey bus breakdown couldn't kill the vibe, quickly turning into an impromptu highway hangout. We eventually arrived to a grand Kerala-style welcome, kicking off night one with cocktails, a live band, stand-up comedy, and enough off-beat dancing to officially shake off the Bangalore corporate hustle.
Day two was strictly reserved for adulting in reverse. Startup competitiveness shifted to the sports arena, featuring cricket with questionable umpiring, pool games with a glorious amount of open cheating, and some highly "abstract" attempts at pottery. As the sun set, the pool party seamlessly turned into a wild DJ night. Long after the music stopped, the energy stayed alive with a fierce, late-night antakshari battle (including some terrible singing) and dramatic shayaris that flowed much better after a couple of drinks.
By the final morning, a few brave souls actually dragged themselves out of bed for yoga, while the rest of us opted to just stretch our jaws at the breakfast buffet. After snapping a group photo as proof of survival, we headed back to Bangalore—bringing home fresh energy, embarrassing new inside jokes, and a team bond tighter than any boardroom meeting could achieve. It was a trip of 3 days, but we carried memories for the life!!

Brokerage? We deleted it.
Sounds simple—but for the longest time, it wasn’t even questioned. So we did. And that one decision has shaped everything we’ve built since—making it incredibly humbling to see this journey recognised with the Industry Mover Award for Innovation in the Real Estate Sector.
But what does innovation really mean here? Adding more layers, or removing the ones that never added value? For us, it meant putting control back in the hands of customers—with transparent pricing, verified listings, and a seamless way to navigate their entire real estate journey.
This recognition means a lot—but more than that, it reminds us to keep challenging the status quo.
Cheers to many more @nobrokercom .!

What does it really take to build in India — when investors want speed, competitors have deeper pockets, and 60 brokers land up at your office one day?
In my recent conversation with Prateek Mehta on South Park Commons India, I reflected on my journey — from moving cities as a child and adapting constantly, to leaving a stable corporate career because I truly believe this: not taking risks is the biggest risk.
The early days of building NoBroker were anything but easy and what got us through wasn’t just strategy, but transparent communication, calm decision-making, and deep trust within the team.
As we grew, we made a conscious choice — depth over width. While many pushed us to expand rapidly, we focused on building density city by city. Our evolution from a listings platform to a full-stack home services ecosystem didn’t come from a grand masterplan. It came from listening to customers. Even today, complaints reach my inbox, and our leaders meet customers regularly. I strongly believe in zero micromanagement, empowering leaders like entrepreneurs, and doing even the most unscalable things to win early customers.
Entrepreneurship is filled with doubt, tough calls, and vulnerable moments. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this — in a country like India, the opportunity is massive for those willing to stay resilient, adaptable, and close to the customer.
The complete conversation is live now. See you on YouTube.

Different cities. Same Objective. Finally, the same room.
For most of the year, the @NoBrokerHood Pan-India Monetization team works across cities — connected by calls, dashboards, and quick updates in the middle of busy days. Everyone is focused on their own markets, solving problems and driving numbers. So when the annual meetup came around, it was a chance to pause, step away from the routine, and look at the bigger picture together.
What started with casual catch-ups soon turned into deeper conversations — stories from the field, lessons from different markets, and reflections on the journey so far. It’s interesting how discussions that take multiple calls sometimes get resolved in a single conversation when everyone is sitting across the same table.
Which brings up a simple question — do in-person meetups still matter today? In a world of constant virtual communication, the answer often becomes clear in moments like these. When teams connect face-to-face, alignment becomes easier, trust grows stronger, and the shared sense of ownership becomes real.

India’s rental story isn’t growing slowly — it’s accelerating, and the ecosystem around it is being rewritten.
Just quiet intent — happening 16 times every second.
Markets don’t explode. They compound!
