Tomorrow someone might say gold will fall in the coming days because the moon is in its waning phase. Now if gold does fall and you say, 'Hey! You were cocky but that person was right!', my response would be the same - rethink your strategy. Process over outcomes. Always 🙂

It’s disappointing that changes in X’s algorithm are making it harder even for my followers to see my posts. That said, I’m not trying to chase virality. Of course, I’m happy when something takes off. But even knowing that most people will not read long posts, I will still explain what needs to be explained in full, and I will never dilute the substance, trim the content down, lean into edginess or provocation, or use abstract wording that leaves room for misreading at the expense of quality. I’ll continue to aim for high quality posts, and what matters to me is putting out content that is genuinely useful for people who are seriously committed to trading. I do promote my own books and content from time to time, but if you feel you do not need them, then you do not have to buy them. For some people, the free content I share here alone will already be more than useful enough. Only those who feel they need them should buy them. But I do stand behind the quality of what’s inside. And for people who have only just started trading, or who are still playing a "win or lose game," or who have no intention of ever breaking out of that, what I share may feel difficult to understand, and they may feel that what I say is wrong. But I have no intention of making posts that appeal to everyone, and I understand that what I put out will resonate more with serious traders. I only care that it reaches those who truly need it and are taking this seriously. So if my posts have been useful to you, please add my account to the X list you regularly read, or turn on notifications so the algorithm does not stop showing them to you. I’ll keep putting out high quality content, so stay with me. Thanks, as always.

@GripFangWolf @lakshaysaroha25 Correct advice. Only those can succeed in trading who have realized there is noone to fall back to, except themselves. Money, as well as advice-wise. And even then, success is not guaranteed. So, someone who is still seeking advice, it's better to quit trading, at least for now.

Take the job. By the time I was at my last straws, I was clear that if I make it in the market, it will be on my own strength and conviction. I understand you might be under immense pressure now and think a little tip here or there will give you a profitable trade that pushes you over the hill and everything will change after that. The bitter pill you will have to swallow though is that this entire approach resembles buying lottery tickets at this point rather than skill based trading. I genuinely wish you the very best for your journey ahead.

At some point you're just done staring at the screen every minute and want to take a pause. Guess that explains me closing out my GOLD shorts now more than anything else.. This has been an intensely rewarding financial year by any metric. Every time I deposit funds with the taxman and think that should close out my liability for the year, another trade works out brilliantly. I see the amounts through which my PnL moves every second when I'm in a big position these days and remind myself this was more than my net worth just 1.5 years back. Today is 23 March. Peak Covid fear exactly 6 years back when Nifty opened -9% lower. Stocks like Kotak Bank, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank all opened at -10% lower circuit. And Nifty bottomed that day.

24 मार्च 2020 को रात आठ बजे प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी ने अगले 21 दिन के लॉकडाउन की घोषणा की थी। उस समय हम 5 दोस्त एक ही फ्लैट पे रहते थे। मैंने सोचा 21 दिन है। जाके दुकान से सत्तू ले आता हूँ कुछ नहीं होगा तो सतुवा घोर के पिया जाएगा। मैं पास वाले ही सुपरमार्ट में चला गया। समय यही कोई रात के 9 बज रहे थे। सुपरमार्ट के बाहर लंबी सी लाइन लगी हुई थी। 40-50 लोग मुझसे आगे लाइन में थे। शीशे से अंदर देखने पे अंदर का माहौल ऐसा था जैसा पाकिस्तान में शादियों में खाने के स्टाल पे होता है। मैंने कहा चलो आ गए है तो एक किलो सतुवा तो ले ही लेता हूँ। तभी थोड़ी देर में मैंने देखा की एक आँटी 5 किलो नमक और बाक़ी सारा सामान लेके जा रही थी। मैं सोच में पड़ गया की ये किसकी लाश को गलाने के लिए इतना नमक ले जा रही है। फिर मेरे ध्यान में आया की अगर ऐसे ही 10-20 फैंटम लोग नमक लेने आ गए तो नमक का स्टॉक ख़त्म हो जाएगा। और एक अफ़वाह उड़ेगी की मार्केट में नामक नहीं मिल रहा है और फिर ऐसे फैंटम हर दुकान पे नमक ख़रीदने को दौड़ेंगे। उसके बाद मैं बिन सतुवा ख़रीदे ही घर को लौट आया की बाद में देखेंगे। अगले दिन से हर ज़रूरी सामान की आपूर्ति होती रही। वो पाँच किलो नमक ख़रीदने वाला हम सबमे कहीं ना कहीं दबा होता जो आपदा में समझदार बनने के चक्कर में चीझो को और बदतर बना देता है। ये जो चार दिन में ही सबके गैस खत्म हो गए हैं । ये लंबी लंबी लाइने लग गई है ये सब हमारे उसी चरित्र के प्रबल होने के संकेत हैं। तुलसी बाबा कह गए हैं की, “धीरज धर्म मित्र अरु नारी। आपद काल परिखिअहिं चारी।।” आपद काल है धीरज धरिए । वरना गार्लिक नान, दाल मखनी और बटर चिकन खाये बिना ज़िंदा नहीं रह पाने वाली क़ौमे युद्ध नहीं लड़ा करती। कल को भारत का किसी दुश्मन देश के साथ युद्ध ही छिड़ गया तब क्या करेंगे ये सब तंदूरी चिकन और तंदूरी पनीर के भूखे ? ये सोच के भी डर लगता है।

@ysdnsingh @KiranjitDas86 If it had any logic, anyone would just need simple maths to make money. Same thing as @KiranjitDas86 is saying. It can't be logical, otherwise everyone would make money. And if you think deeper, if it was logical, had no uncertainty, actually no one would make money.

@KiranjitDas86 It doesn’t have to be perfectly textbook but at least have some logic to the movement. Currently it is completely bereft of all logic.

If the market moved in a clean bullish or bearish trend without gap openings, almost everyone would make money. But that’s not how the market works. It creates gaps to take back the money you have already made through pullbacks, reversals and sudden bounce backs. And they call it “filling the gaps.”
