This isn't even close to true. When Michael Carrick took charge, Manchester United were 17 points behind Arsenal - now just 12 (+5).
11 behind City, now 7 (+4). 11 behind Villa, now 6 AHEAD (+17). 3 behind Liverpool, now 6 ahead (+9). Level with Newcastle, now 19 ahead (+19). 1 point ahead of Chelsea, now 16 ahead (+17).

The only reason the referee didn’t give United a penalty for the foul on Amad is that they had just had one. Stonewall penalty. VAR ince again shows its uselessness by refusing to overrule.

These incidents are the same (aside from the DOGSO/red card interpretation). You can reasonably make an argument that the contact on Evanilson was softer than than the contact on Amad.
How can Premier League officiating possibly be getting worse?

Manchester United would have had the opportunity to be 2-0 up if the Amad penalty was correctly given. Instead, this is what played out. Even if they win with 10 men, doesn't change anything. This is a shambles. Bournemouth have been good but the officiating has been scandalous.
