Parents in Scotland are skipping meals to feed their children. Caroline is a campaigner fighting for a Scotland where everyone lives with dignity. And is backing Amnesty’s demand for a Scottish Human Rights Bill to enshrine people’s rights into law – so everyone can access their everyday rights.

No one in Scotland should be denied their right to housing, healthcare or an adequate standard of living. But too many are. This Thursday's elections in Scotland can mark a turning point. But only if we work together to demand a Human Rights Bill in the next Scottish Parliament.

“When I first encountered the social security system, I fell apart.” Brian had an accident at work and could no longer work as a nurse. He had to fight to get the support he needed. People who are disabled, ill, and unemployed are still being framed as a ‘burden’. That narrative isn’t new, but it’s still working. Blame is being shifted onto the people most in need, while those in power avoid responsibility. We need a Scottish Human Rights Bill to enshrine people’s rights into law – so everyone can live with dignity.

No one in Scotland should be denied their right to housing, healthcare or education. And everyone should be free to live free from discrimination. But too many are denied that right. This Thursday's elections in Scotland can mark a turning point. But only if we work together to demand a Human Rights Bill in the next Scottish Parliament.

Together we can make sure next Thursday marks a turning point for Scotland. For too long people in Scotland have been denied access to their everyday rights like housing, healthcare and education.

TAKE ACTION NOW: Too many people across Scotland struggle for essentials like housing, food, and a safety net when times are tough. But a Human Rights Bill can help to change that, by protecting the rights we all need for a decent life. Contact your MSP candidates now to demand their support: amnesty.org.uk/get-involved/t…

At least 20,179 children have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza - according to the latest reports from the United Nations. Children should be playing, learning and laughing - not part of a casualty list.

As the anti-human rights voices in the UK and around the world grow louder, 2026 can be a moment of possibility in Scotland if parties focus their attention on the many people who want to see action taken towards building a fair society.

From a Human Rights Bill to enshrine strong legal protections for everyday rights, to a ban on mass surveillance technologies in policing - we want to see bold action from our next parliament and government to create a fairer more equal Scotland.

3 months on no further detail on which companies are banned from receiving grants has been published. We need to know that all funding for companies supporting Israel's genocide and violations of international law has stopped.
