When there is no more attempt to avoid or escape any feeling or experience, you discover there is nothing to run away from and nothing to run toward. You discover that truth is not a perfect state of understanding, nor is it a perfect state of non-feeling.

True inquiry is not a philosophical exercise. It is not an attempt to arrive at better concepts about existence. It is a direct and living participation with what is here now. Inquiry keeps the path alive because it continually returns attention to immediate experience rather than inherited understanding. It keeps dissolving the tendency to stand outside life as an observer who merely interprets it from a distance.

Amoda Maa’s online meetings are open to all. They're a space to pause, listen deeply, and reconnect with what is true. Each gathering begins with a guided meditation and a short discourse, grounding you in presence before opening into dialogue. From here, sincere questions are welcomed, offering guidance rooted in clarity, simplicity, and compassion. Whether you are new to these teachings or have been walking this path for some time, these meetings offer both an entry point and a deepening. A chance to sit in stillness, to inquire from the heart, and to feel held within a shared field of exploration. Upcoming online meetings: – June 5 – July 11 – Aug 7 To join Amoda Maa and the global community, or to learn more, visit the following link: amodamaa.com/online-events

If you can let yourself fall into the unknown—just for a moment—you might glimpse the vastness that has no name, no shape, no agenda. That’s what you are. Not the one grasping. The one who sees.

The spiritual journey is not about becoming someone who knows more. It’s about becoming so open, so undefended, that even the unknown no longer disturbs you. Awareness doesn’t seek safety—it is safety.

The mind believes it must control life, yet it is this very control that tightens the knot of suffering. When you rest in awareness rather than in fear, life is no longer an adversary. It becomes intimate, immediate, and alive.

Awakening Is Not an Experience | Discovering What Has Always Been Here. Many seekers imagine awakening as a future experience — a special state that must one day be attained. In this discourse, Amoda Maa gently dismantles that assumption and points to something far more immediate. Watch on YouTube: youtu.be/LyXleTPndX4

The moment you stop searching for another way, the way reveals itself—right here, in the mess, in the beauty, in the now.

Spiritual maturity begins when we no longer use awakening to bypass our humanity. We stop reaching for the stars and begin embracing the ground we walk on.

You are emptiness of being and fullness of the world, there is no division or contradiction; just the beautiful paradox of nondual awareness in the human life.

New Podcast: What Is Closer Than Your Seeking? In this short discourse, Amoda Maa explores one of the most common misunderstandings on the spiritual path: the belief that awakening is a special experience to be attained in the future. She gently reveals that all experiences — thoughts, emotions, sensations, even states of bliss or peace — come and go. True awakening, she explains, is not another passing state, but the recognition of the ever-present ground of being itself. Listen on Spotify: tinyurl.com/3ddfkw5v Listen on Apple: apple.co/49z0uab

In the deepest dimension of being and realm of inner light, the pristine purity of consciousness can neither be cleansed or polluted by anything you do (or don’t do) in the outer realm of physical form. Consciousness is like the sun; it can never be switched off.

Awakening is not a special state that appears and disappears. It is the recognition of that which has always been here, prior to every experience, every thought, every emotion, every search.

We keep waiting for peace to arrive through better circumstances, a calmer world, or a more settled life. But if peace depends on conditions, it will always come and go. True peace is discovered much deeper than circumstance. It reveals itself in the moment we stop arguing with reality. In the softening of resistance. In the ending of the inner war. This peace is not a performance of calmness or spirituality. It is not something dramatic or mystical. It is the quiet luminous presence that remains even in the midst of fear, grief, uncertainty, and change. Not a state to maintain. Not an achievement to attain. But the radiance of being itself.

The separate self survives through resistance. Resistance to pain. Resistance to uncertainty. Resistance to what is. Freedom begins when experience is no longer divided into what should and should not be here.

We suffer greatly through the belief that peace has been lost whenever disturbance appears. But disturbance is simply movement within consciousness. The vastness itself remains untouched.

Awakening is the end of the struggle to become someone. It is the quiet recognition of what remains when the seeking collapses.
