I dont like what they did with Barriss. People had been saying for years she should come back as an inquisitor then they do it just to have her turn good again. Its a pattern that bugs me alot. I was talking about this a couple weeks ago in a thread about Devon from Shadow Lord. They are seemingly incapable of letting characters embrace their corruption and simply be evil till the end. One of the dangers of the dark side is its seductive and corrupting nature but every time we get to see a character narratively progress into the dark they change their mind and redeem themselves by the end. The characters that are allowed to be evil are the ones we introduced as evil. Any character with any depth, that we see actually progress towards the dark from the light, inevitably comes to their senses and turns good again. The tragedy of these characters is supposed to be that the person they were was lost along the way in pursuit of power. Slaves to their sins. Disney needs to grow a pair and let complex villains exist that make the wrong choice and embrace evil.

decided on rewatching most of the star wars animation projects and after maul shadow lord everything is just bound to look worse but while i can handle the clone wars, rebels is just about to give me some serious visual whiplash 💀
