For the longest time I don't think I have ever animated for myself, I've only ever done it to seek approval, be it fan projects or pursuing something in the hopes that people I cared about would praise me. From here on out I wanna start going the extra mile for myself.

@FARfromani @inkfish_anime It feels as though allowing ppl to make mistakes with no real oversight has just lead to a quality drop and more and more complacency Thats why douga and 2nd key exist, to train animators for LO which a alot of animators DONT do.

@FARfromani @inkfish_anime correct me if im wrong What I understand from your replies dont you think it is like that now? Workload has been pushed to the sakkan to the point alot of ppl dont draw details in LO expecting the sakkan to fix it. Ppl seem to be more comfortable now to make mistakes

@inkfish_anime Since what the experienced animators are doing it,I think alot of animators think that its fine to do Other problems might also come from the lack of resources on the internet, since for most young animators this is their school now and they dont go to animation school.

@inkfish_anime Regarding just using figure in LO Alot of big animators I respect use figures in their LO and their priority is movement not the character drawings. Since young animators like to emulate them I think that is the reason they just draw figures dont you think ?

I’m saying this from experience as both a subcontractor and prime creator seisaku: far too many animators are turning in LO that is not very useful and it ends up burning the sakkan and sousakkan out. Usually it’s issues with proportion and not understanding camera lenses in film

@Amphibi__ I’ll slowly publish information to Twitter, but the crux is that ppl aren’t understanding wide angle vs telephoto lenses or even which one they’re drawing and why. Generally anime is using a telephoto lens about 20 meters away from the subject. youtube.com/shorts/dGwVaSy…
