No, really, is this not how Mike dramatizes his DnD narration? Long pauses to build up tension and repetition of words to drive the effect. All of this embellishment is unnecessary in a normal tv script, UNLESS this was intended to sound and look like Mike is DMing the scene

Will and Jon were supposed to have built Castle Byers while it was raining, and the script says Will and Mike are 8yos in the miwi flashback. So Will unlocks his powers through planted (?) memories right after Vecna ragebaits him and leaves. Okay. This is the part where you stop reading if you aren't a lwg-er. I firmly believe that Will gaining powers was a part of Vecna's plan and he never woke up from the trance at all in ep5. Everything after that is fake as seen through Will's pov. "We never saw what Vecna showed Will". No, we did. That's the rest of the show. Mike basically confirms this when he says Will is in Vallaki. I'm tired of being told we're delusional when all of the loose ends tie up so perfectly when seen through a lwg lens. Sigh.

You actually can't convince me that after Will came out Max didn't asked him randomly "do you think that boy over there is cute?" in the middle of the conversation and Will giggling and asking her to stop while Mike is boiling in the background (that's exactly what Max wanted)
