@AmpliFreQuency @GuliKitDesign I have taken apart the Switch 2 joy cons many times and just like the Switch 1 joy cons these are also plug and play. No soldering required. They are more complicated to get to than the Switch 1 joy cons, but close to the same process to replace once you reach them.

I caved and got after market ones. They dont have the PlayStation logo on them and they dont fit as good.

@Wario64 Are they not doing what they did with the Steam Deck where you have to have something purchased on the account? Is there even a limit at all on how many an account can purchase?

Since this is a hacking news account, I’ll keep covering new projects as they come out. That said, I can’t recommend using Tico. Let’s remind the community that the DBI developer, even though he’s never actually done it, threatens to brick consoles if a translated or patched version is used. As for Tico, I wonder if the source code isn’t public precisely because AI was used, since that would be too obvious.

@Nintendeal The triggers and rumble motors were very easy for me. Luckily I had tools small enough to push and pull the bars out. And a simple spudger that comes with these kits works just as well. The most nerve-wracking part was getting the faceplate off, and that wasn't bad at all lol

@AmpliFreQuency oh that's smart! how was taking the triggers off for you? and getting the rumble motors out? those were what I struggled with the most I think

eXtremeRate sent me a couple Switch 2 replacement shells to test and after an hour or two of fiddling with the Pro Controller I'm done with the clear shell swap I opted to keep the OG black buttons because I felt like the clear buttons were hard to read and I think it turned out pretty cool! The shell itself feels super high quality, no complaints there. Taking the SW2 Pro apart and reassembling is quite annoying. Their assembly guide video is genuinely helpful for some parts.
