I've been excitedly waiting for this paper to come out!!! For anyone interested in sediment leaching protocols and Sr isotopes!! Some very careful work here on improving our methods.

We find that marine barite can contaminate 87Sr/86Sr by up to 0.01, so can have serious implications for provenance/weathering studies! We also find that Pb isotopes may be affected in a similar way. Take home message: don’t forget to remove marine barite!! 🧪
