We launched #BSW25 @Discovery_Mus with our annual STEAM careers fair. More than 250 children joined us in the Great Hall to learn and ask questions about different career journeys, skills and opportunities. #STEAMLearning

I visited a major museum on my ‘to visit’ list last week. @mfnberlin was incredible; dinosaurs, taxidermy, crystals & minerals. I found myself saying ‘wow’ in every gallery.

My other favourite from half-term @Discovery_Mus - a Lego @NUFC stadium! ⚽️
Newcastle-upon-Tyne was granted city status on 3rd June 1882, and last week, for the anniversary, families built a Lego city, designed buildings & created city coat of arms #LearningInMuseums

Last week for May half-term @Discovery_Mus we welcomed more than 400 people to play trains in our Great Hall. Giant tracks, ride on engines, colouring in, dressing up and trains galore! #MuseumPlay

A couple of weeks ago our Easter holiday ‘Discover a Story’ EY sessions @Discovery_mus were very popular! We enjoyed reading Bird Builds a Nest, Mr Bunny’s Chocolate Factory and Ten Little Pirates with songs, games, crafts and play in the Great Hall #EYFSInMuseums

Looking forward to a busy few weeks @Discovery_Mus in our upcoming weekly, EYFS Tiny Sparks sessions for little ones aged 3-5, and their carers.
