To wrap it up these 2 weeks of activities @OneTreeIslandRS, our Filipino delegates left the island in scenic flights to Quensland mainland! @Sydney_Uni science team finalized all technical activities and even had time for another beautiful snorkel! It was an amazing time at #OTI!

Day 12: Last day with Filipino delegates. We had two amazing seminars about COTS and forams population. We also retrieve our instruments and finalized the drone flights around #OTI! After this successful week, we had an amazing farewell dinner and lots of fun!

Day 11: Adding to all science activities, including drone surveys, our Filipino delegation learned about how to manage a research station such as @OneTreeIslandRS. We also had our last workshop, working through how to process topographic data and benthic community variability.

(2/2) In the afternoon, we proceeded with seminars and workshops, including a presentation by Jonah Sullivan informing all the opportunities that @GeoscienceAus is providing for building capacity on coral island monitoring. Then, we finished the day with a nice bbq!

Day 10: We continued our COTS safari and the underwater video recording of the benthic community around @OneTreeIslandRS. We also had a fun and very informative reef walk, learning about coral rubble dynamics and the habitats for the terristrial and marine fauna around OTI! (1/2)

Day 9: A busy day @OneTreeIslandRS! We started by deploying a @NortekNews current profiler at the reef entrance, followed by deployment of #Nortek vectors and a #RBR CTD in the gutter. #RBR pressure sensors were also deployed in the rubble flat. (1/2)

Day 8: Filipino group is now @OneTreeIslandRS! For the first day, we had all WH&S inductions and a demonstration of the instruments that we will be using during this week. To finish up the day we had a nice snorkel at the reef gutter!
