LIVE | Big Push: A resident of Debiso has raised concerns over the pace of work by Cymain Ghana Limited, the contractor handling the upgrading of the Adwofua–Oseikojokrom road (Km 16–41).
He alleges that the contractor only mobilised to site following news of the inspection visit by the Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza.

@albertmelac @yo_Obamaa Do you understand isolation at all?
ECG/VRA and Gridco has one of the safety measures.
English

@yo_Obamaa No proper isolation plan. I am very sure this is what they did at the Akosombo substation and accidental start up caused the fire.

@AlexZedek_2002 @tech_twi Chale even Puerto Rico island wide blackout was due to system failure
English

@tech_twi Comparing a U.S. backed territory of 3.2M people to a country of 30M+ like Ghana isn’t smart. Context matters, populace, grid structure, funding, and governance are completely different. Don’t just chase engagement, be smart.
English

In 2026, they are saying Ghana has lost 1000 MW, causing nationwide dumsor for months. In 2022, during a Puerto Rico island wide blackout, they lost over 3000 MW, yet they restored 1000+ MW within one day, and most of the power was restored within 2 to 3 days. Most African leaders are just incompetent because they know many of you will believe anything. They use big grammar to confuse you, and their followers help spread and defend it.
English

@tech_twi Do you understand what you are talking about at all? Puerto Rico island wide blackout was due to a transmission failure causing generators to shut down, do you understand what happened at Akosombo at all? All whole control room got burnt.
English

@GhanaSocialUni @lordcudjoe You dnt have a job and you want to sleep in lights? Create your own job
English

@lordcudjoe But if I refuse to pay my electricity bill because I don’t have a job I get disconnected right ?! Arrant nonsense
English

A significant fire at an electricity substation within the Akosombo Dam complex caused widespread and immediate disruptions. This incident knocked out an estimated 720 to 1,000 megawatts from the national supply, causing an immediate deficit of about 1,000 MW—about one-fifth of the country's average peak demand and some human beings are happy ascribing the deficit to the president's incompetence? 😃😀😃 Dzimakpla pro max. Keseviwo!😃😃🫠🙃
