@KrishnaKRM It is 4 log 2 = 4 bits. Makes sense as there can be 2^4 equally likely scenarios for top 4. But it is not 100% because before the start of tournament entropy is much higher (it is log (10 choose 4) as there are 10C4 many equally likely scenarios.

@KrishnaKRM Hey I just got a simple idea on how to explain why your method is incorrect. Suppose each team has only one game left and all teams have the same points and very close NRR. So the probs will be 50% for each team. According to your calculations entropy would be 100% +

Before the start of the tournament you have log(10 choose 4) ≈ 7.71 bits of entropy. Currently there are roughly 3 bits of entropy left by using the current NRR as a tie breaker. So roughly 39% by this way. Would be higher if you factor in possible NRR changes.
